What if I forgot to include my 1099?

What you need to do depends on whether the IRS accepted your return.

If your return was rejected

If the IRS rejected your return, you can reopen it in the app and make corrections.

You’ll see the status of your return on the Tax home page, where you’ll be given the option to make updates. Once you fix any rejections, you can add your missing forms, then resubmit your return.

If your return was accepted

Once the IRS or your state accepts your return, you won’t be able to make changes in the app. You'll need to file an amended return using IRS Form 1040-X.
