Before you submit
You can review your return before filing.
After you finish entering your information, you’ll reach the Submit your return screen. Select View return to open a PDF copy of your federal and state returns.
As long as you haven’t submitted your return, you can go back to any section to review and make changes.
After your return is accepted (2025 returns)
You’ll be able to download your 2025 tax returns in april after the IRS and your state (if applicable) have accepted them.
To download your 2025 return:
Open april and go to your Tax home page
If your returns show as accepted, select Download tax returns
How to download your 2024 return
If you filed with april last year, you can download your 2024 return from the Document manager.
Open april and select the Document manager (folder icon at the top of the screen)
Scroll to Previous tax years
Open the 2024 folder to download your return
